One of those days!

Well, last night I had a blond moment, I was trying to sew a wristlet for myself and was on the floor ironing. I have a table top ironing board, but my table top was full with the sewing machine, so I was on the floor. Anywho, I was ironing in the interfacing and pressing the pieces. I went to get up and felt a poke in my hand. It was like if you get yourself with the needle when your sewing. I lift my hand up and I had a needle in it, I didn't think much of it except of course the one piece that has the pins in it I don't put with the rest of the pieces(which was in a pile a foot away from my hand). I pull the needle out and it immediately starts bleeding, I managed to hit one of my veins! So here I am alone with the kids, holding presser on my palm raised above my head "dancing" around the kitchen cuz it hurt so bad. I went into a little panic mode then when I felt like I was going to pass out(yeah that would have been good for the kids to see). I called my friend T just so I could talk to someone knowing that would help she had me take some Tylenol and drink some mountain dew(which if it was anyone else I would have said the same thing, my brain just stopped working then). I now have a nice bruise from it and I can't put any presser on my palm. See got to love it!

Then today, N's little cough from yesterday turned into runny nose and cough along with waking up last night complaining his tummy hurt. He stayed home today and I took him to the dr just to make sure doesn't have a sinus infection too(which he doesn't just a little cold which some children's cough medicine should help). Other than the cough and runny nose you wouldn't know the kid was sick he has been running around like crazy. I took the moment to put him to work. I got him a ornament kit from Micheal's so he could make all his classmates candy cane ornaments for Christmas. I made them when I was little and they are really easy. He did really good with it and did all but 2 by himself(well stringing the beads that is). He could have done them all, but he wanted me and M to help, plus we would have been there ALL DAY. We talked about how he was making them for his friends at school which is the important part to me. If you ask him he'll tell you "I made them for my friends." I'm pretty sure we are going to keep him home tomorrow too since his cough and nose is really bad I don't want him to get anyone else sick.
