Very First Day of School

Today was the day we have been waiting for, for almost 2 weeks now....N's first day of preschool. We have been talking about how he was going to school and would meet all these new friends, for the last few days, and this morning we asked him if he was ready to meet his new friends. He was sort of excited until he had to wear his backpack.....then he got upset and mad. After that it was off to school, Daddy was off today so he got to go too, which was really nice. Once we got to the school he wasn't so happy and wouldn't walk, daddy had to carry him to his classroom. Once we got into the room he was doing ok all things considered, we started showing him his hook and cubby and then he didn't want to let daddy go. At this point I knew we had to go, cuz N was just going to keep getting worse. So I asked N for a kiss which he gave me and then the crying started, after my kiss, Daddy asked him for a kiss which he got along w/more tears. At this point it was so time to go. As we walked away you could hear him crying harder, it was so hard.

Then we had to wait til 1:30 to pick him up.......A little about what happened during this time at the end. When we went to get him they were just finishing up lunch. I didn't see N anywhere and I think one of the aids noticed me looking for him cuz she was like he's sitting on the potty. Yes, my little boy who wanted nothing to do w/the potty was sitting on one. He didn't go, but yeah it's a step in the right direction. The teacher said he was talking alot, and had a good day. We waited for him to come out and then he saw us he was excited and mad cuz he had to go. I asked him if he was ready to go home and he shook his head no, which I was really happy to see that he had a good time. Once we got home we asked him if he want to go back tomorrow and he was shook his head yes. I'm so happy he had such a good time.

I didn't want to say anything about M in this post, I wanted it all about N's first day at school, but M has had a runny nose and cough for the last week and a half so I got her into the drs office, just to make sure everything was ok. We were in and out in 18mins the fastest they've ever been in that office. It ends up that M was just getting an ear infection in one ear and the other has some fluids in it, so please, please pray that the meds take care of it and we don't have to go through what we did w/N and his ears.
