It's BACK!

Hubby fixed the computer! Ok we just got a cheaper motherboard to get us by so we can slowly get the parts for a new one, but I'm not complaining! I did lose all my websites and email addresses so now I have to wait for people to email me something before I get them back. He did set up photoshop and the scanner so now I can show everyone M's 6 month/1st Halloween pictures. (side note-family they are on their way as soon as I find my file w/everyone's addresses)

Some other good news the store manager realized she messed up the schedule and gave me Halloween off! I'm super excited. I'm going to make cupcakes tomorrow and we are going to carve the pumpkins. Then go to the mall and trick or treat on Wednesday. I'll post pictures. O'Almost forgot I got some orange glazed cinnamon rolls for Halloween breakfast! It's going to be so much fun!

One of those days

Really we have to start with Thursday. Thursday night N was "fighting" me to go to bed he keep getting off his bed and hiding behind the door, so I yelled at him to get back in bed and put his head on his pillow like I have tons of times(the joys of a two year old). Well, he listened and jumped on his bed and then jumped land on his pillow....he missed and hit his head board. He now has a BIG knot on his head, so I gave him an ice pack and Tylenol. Off to bed for him.

Then last night M would not go to sleep every time I laid her down it would be high pitch screams. Keeping N up and giving me a headache. I ended up giving her a nap in our room so I could close the door so N would nap and I could let her cry it out which was about 20mins later.

Today hasn't been much better, M has barley slept every time it has been the same thing, screaming, I gave her Tylenol thinking it was teething, though last time it wasn't that bad. I put the bed angle thing in the crib since she's seemed a little congested the last few days. I took off her bumper so she could see N which helped for about 30mins. I've even tried to holding her to get her to sleep, but all she does is wiggle around(she's never been one to fall asleep in your arms). I don't know what is up with her, thankfully she's finally asleep.

Also today, my darling son, burnt himself. I'm in the middle of finishing my costume and starting M's dress. Last night I was so tired I didn't wait for the iron to be cool so I could put it away. So this morning he found it and was playing w/it which I told him to leave alone and why, and then put it away. Well, grandpa watched N for a few hours tonight cuz N wanted to go play over there. And I got M to take a nap so I took the time to start M's dress, I had to press part of it, so I had the iron unplugged and waiting to cool, when N came home. I was thanking grandpa when N comes running in all scared and crying. I figure a kitty batted at him. So I go see what he's crying about and there is the iron on the ground. He has a blister on his wrist and his hand is all red.

I so need a mommy vacation! I still love them even if they give me a headache and drive me to drink! LOL

There's Not Place Like Home

Do you ever wish you could just click your heals like Dorothy and go back to a certain place in time, or to the way it is in your dreams? Lately I have, then again around this time I always feel that way. I wish I could go back to when my mom was with me and everyone seemed to listen and care about my life. Now a days, not so much. I've been feeling so alone and disconnected the last few weeks. It's like the longer I'm in Florida the farther away everyone gets. I use to talk to my family every week for at lest 30mins or more at a time, now it's more like 10-15min conversations every few weeks. I sort of feel like we are the black sheep of the family. We just get calls when someone needs something. Doesn't anyone care! Part of me is so tired of trying so hard to stay connected to everyone cuz I feel like I'm the only one working at it. Then the other part knows my kids need family so I can't stop. Which is why I love and hate this time of year. I love it cuz it's all about giving and family. I hate it cuz my kids don't get to experience it like I did with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. Plus, hubby and I don't get that anymore either. We spend a few hours with grandma then a few hours with grandpa, but it's not the same as having your Uncle chase you and your cousins around the house while your Dad and Grandpa are watching Football and your mom, aunts, and grandma are cooking in the kitchen. Those are the memories I want my kids to have, happy, fun memories of the holiday. This is another thing that I feel like I'm the only one fighting for-memories-I was hoping my brother and his soon to be wife could come down for at lest one holiday, but that's not going to happened and my dad would never come visit.
So should I just give up the fight? I don't know if I CAN keep fighting for "family" when no one else wants it. I'm so tired of being the one in the middle, the one that cares about the bigger picture. I'm not as strong as my mom, nor does anyone listen to me like they did her. I know I'll keep trying cuz that's what I do, I want my kids to have "family" even if it kills me. I'm just so tired from it. I just want to get all my Christmas shopping done then run and hide in a hole till then end of the year(which shopping for everyone is normally my favorite thing about Christmas). I would only come out make sure the kids have a good Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Which at this point I don't even know if the kids will have a good Halloween since they have me working it which I'm technically suppose to be off til Thursday. *sigh* You'd think after 6 years I would be use to it.....Welcome to my Life.

Computer Problems

I just wanted you all to know that for the next few weeks I'm not sure how much I'll be about to update you on the kids. Our computer died, really the mother board fried itself and took the video card, sound card, ram and a few other things w/it. Hubby says that our hard drive should be fine. Thankfully he noticed it acting up this morning and backed up all the pictures. Unfortunately all our I-Tunes weren't backed up, yet so I'm hoping he's right otherwise there those go too! He is usually right about this things I'm just still worried. Anywho, he's all upset cuz this motherboard isn't the brand he normally would have bought but it was getting good reviews on the computer threads, so he went w/it. Needless to say that will not be happening this time. Right now grandpa is let us use his laptop so hubby could price out parts and stuff, but I'm not sure how much we'll be able to use it hopefully at lest once a week, since it will be a few weeks till we can get all the parts, well the money for the parts that is. *sigh* And I was hoping to start buying N's Christmas presents this week. Well, at lest M is pretty much done. First tires now this at lest it's the end of the year and soon it will be tax return time Yeah!!

Pumpkin "Patch"

Yesterday we took the kids to the pumpkin "patch". I use the word patch cuz I'm not really sure what else to call it. It's really a bunch of pumpkins on this really really long table, w/one side that has 2 steps on it for more pumpkins then about 30 cardboard bins filled w/more pumpkins. They have these set up all over, we have been going to the same one for the last 2 yrs, the lady there is really nice. Last year she gave N a smaller pumpkin for free, this year he got a lolli pop. Anyways, this year N really enjoyed picking out the right pumpkin. He was very picking about it not just any would do, we walked around the table at lest 3 times, and after some coaching from Mommy the last walk around, he finally found the perfect one.

N looking for the perfect pumpkin

Is this the ONE?Picture time!
Though no one wants to look at the camera
(The perfect Pumpkin is the one at N's feet)
N trying to open his Lolli Pop and M is ready for her napM playing with a squashM saw a bug
All in all it was fun. We are going to get 2 more little pumpkins from Walmart-they are so much cheaper, but you have to go to the pumpkin patch that's part of picking out a pumpkin.
And side note yes M is starting to sit by her self, though not more that a min at a time, and if she looks up high she'll fall. But hey she's sitting I'm not about to complain.

Grandma's Hips

Today I found out that M is taking after more of my side of the family. I got her this really cute Oshkosh Jeans. I got her two in 12m and one in 18m and I got such a great deal on them $3 each normally $13 each. Anyways, now that she's in 12m I decided to put her in them......While, her "little" hips(I use the word little just cuz she's still a baby) barley fit in them. I don't think she'll get into them again I'm so upset cuz they look so cute on her. I showed mike how cute she looked, even w/them being tight, and he was like "she she get that from your side." I just had to share so pictures of it. So here goes...Look a that little butt! I know I even got a smile out of her! Now that she has her teeth she loves smiling for the camera, which reminds me I got a picture of her 2 first teeth so here it is..I know you can barley see them, but aren't they to cute. I'm in trouble, the boys are going to be all over her!

Teether and Potties

This was just going to be about M, but N did some great things today too!

Miss M at about 2:40pm today cut her first TWO(yes 2) teeth. It was the coolest thing. She has been not so smilie and happy the last 2 days. This morning was the same thing not so happy. Well, I took the kids to the mall today and N was playing in the play area(for the second time today). We had been there about 40 mins and M was just hanging out just watching N and the other kids. Then all of a sudden out of the blue, she started smilling and laughing at N and the kids. She smiles at me and there they are 2 little teethers. I know they had just "popped" cuz (well one she totally changed additues) there was also a little blood on them.

Then we have N! Today at the mall during the first time at the play area, he blow out a diaper. This is about the 3rd time he's done this. He holds it in so long that he just goes so much the diaper/pull-up can't hold it. Anywho, I had already let him pick out some hot wheels the other day so when he went potty on the potty he'll get one, Thinking I would retry in a week or so. I'm happy to say N has other plans. Tonight he blow out another diaper, but this time he was in the bathroom and was trying to put his seat on the toilet. He ended up sitting on the potty for a good 10mins. trying really hard to go. It was really funny cuz he keep talking to his "little guy" so he could go and he would grunt too. It was sort of hard not to laugh. Along with just sitting on the potty, he also wanted to wear his big boy undies. So tomorrow we will see where it goes. Hopefully, fingers crossed he'll want to go on the potty again. I can always hope.
