Last Few Weeks

We are coming up on the last few days of school so things have been crazy around here. I've totally been slacking on the letter of the week too, I have two weeks to post on...that will be later lol! Talking about those I'm now a week behind o'well, we'll make it up over the summer I'm sure.
For the most part things are going good around here, N's pretty excited about it almost being summer break. I'm excited too cuz then I don't have to go out anymore during the hottest time of the day, but it also means my baby is getting closer to going to kindergarten. His graduation is on Wednesday so is the last day of school, so I'll post all about that. We got him a little gift for graduating, he's done such a great job the last 2.5yrs we are so proud of him. Plus he's been a little hesitant about kindergarten so we are trying to make a big deal about him graduating and moving on, hopefully it helps!

L is moving a lot. He's really active at night or if I lay down, otherwise I'll only feel a kick here and there through the day. Some days I get worried, cuz I haven't felt him for a long time. Not sure if he's just not as active, or if I'm so busy with his brother and sister I can't feel them as well, but he always seems to know when I'm worried and will give me a few kicks to make me feel better.

M is also doing good. She's in full terrible three mood lately. I swear she's worse then N was, the girl doesn't listen half the time, we have lots of time outs throughout the day. She's also been really cling the last month, not even wanting to play at the play area at the malls, not really sure what's up with that, she's so not my shy one.

That's about it for now, I'll post later today or in the next day or so about the letters of the week and Wednesday about N's graduation.

Letter Aa

This week I started M's first week of "school". I'm calling it school very loosely, I'm only doing one project a day, which usually takes about 30mins. We do talk about the letter and color through out the day, but just pointing to her art work and asking her what the letter/color is and what starts with that letter. Anyways, on to our week....
Monday well was nothing, we have play dates on Mondays and by the time we get home it's quite time then time to get N from school, so til school lets out Mondays are no school days.

Tuesday we started out simple I printed out color pages of A and a then let her use crayons and color. I also grabbed her alligator little people and her play apple from her kitchen.

Coloring her A
One mistake I made was had the alligators and apple sitting where she could see them so of course she did like one little scratch of color on each page and was done so she could play with the toys. I also had made a list of some A letters, I did them in green cuz that was the color of the week. After she was done I got the great idea to tape all the art work for the week on to the kids door.
The artwork from Monday with list of words
Wednesday we had friends coming over so we didn't get much done, I had cleaning to do.

Thursday we did the craft projects which I got from this great blog she's got some great ideas! We made an A alligator.
M's A Alligator
And then painted an a red to make an apple. We had to let it dry and I did cut it out we just never finished it....that will be first this Tuesday.
Painting her a to make an apple

Friday we did apples! On Wednesday morning we ran to Walmart and picked up one of each of the types of apples they carried. Which amazingly was 6 different ones! We had Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Fuiji, Gala, and Macintosh. I cut each one in half through the centers then cut one half into slices and the other half left alone. I put them all on a plate(except for the Fuiji, which ended up having a huge bug hole in the top of it I didn't notice).
M checking out the different apples
Then I let M try them and look at how all the centers were a little different. She really liked that. After she got to look at all the centers and colors I went and cut up them up so that N and Daddy could have some later.
M trying the Granny Smith
She decided that the whole half of the Golden Delicious was much better
Over all the week went really good I think. I did come up with another idea yesterday. I printed out the same Aa coloring pages I let her color on and painted them the color of the week. While I was doing that I let her paint one too, and use an A sponge I have. I also painted the Bb for this week. After they dried I cut them out and laminated them. I'm taping the letter we are on to the door also, then moving them to the top of the wall in their room so when we are done we will have the whole alphabet up as a little boarder on the wall.

Tuff Week

It's only Wednesday and I'm already looking forward to the week being over! It's just been very draining emotional and physically. First it's been extra hot out so that really drains me and makes me feel so lazy cuz, well I have been lazy cuz I just physically don't have the energy to do much. Then it's Mother's Day week which is always a little hard for me, but this year is the first time I'm pregnant during this week. It's like a double wammy!

I also am looking at doula's this week. I really wanted someone at the birth that could really help me remember to focus and remember all the things to try to help with pain management. hubby's very supportive, but when it comes to me(or the kids) in pain, he just wants us to be better, pain free. Plus, he's always nervous too, just being in the hospital, being a dad again. Anyways, so there really isn't anyone that can also come to the hospital to help, everyone I would want either lives way to far or will be one of the people that can watch the kids when we are at the hospital(which I haven't even figured out all that yet*sigh*). So I thought about a doula, I found two in our area. One I've talked to and she sounds great but it's way more then we can afford. She does have classes that if the second lady is also to much or I don't feel connected to, I'm going to see about at lest me going to the classes. She only has one spot left so I have to decide this week. I don't know it's just a lot, or at lest it feels like a lot of things to think about.

Truthfully, most of the time all I want to do is go crawl in bed till everything is worked out, but that would be never, so I guess that will not work huh!

New Corner

Yesterday~ok really I've been thinking about it for a week now, but yesterday it really hit me. I got this thought, since M didn't get into the pre-k program at the school, and we can't afford a private pre-k program, what am I going to do? I work with her a little here and there on her letters, number, and colors, but nothing really planned, it's more just working with her when we see them or playing. So a few days ago one of the blogs I follow she was talking about homeschooling, which I've hear about(really who hasn't), but I think cuz she's doing it for kindergarten and pre-k, it sort of stuck in my mind. Then yesterday my friend C was saying how she wanted to work with her son more on writing letters cuz he was really getting curves. And it was like BOOM!! homeschooling M! So I started with that looked at one of my mommy sites and found this group of moms that homeschool prek. They gave me lots of great ideas and websites to find craft projects and worksheets. That's when I decided that I would "homeschool" M pre-k. I say "homeschool" like that cuz I don't think how I'm going about it is really true homeschool, or maybe it is? I don't feel it is cuz I'm only going to work with her on a few things and make it pretty light mostly crafts and coloring, maybe a few trips to the store to look at things that go with what we are working on.

My plan!
Each week for the next 4 weeks we are going to work on one letter, number, and color per week. Just doing one project/thing per day that goes with each thing. Then when N is off school(we'll have more time at home) we'll do two letters, one number, and one color per week. N loves craft projects so I know he'll have fun, I'll let him cut his own letters out, make it more challenge for him. I also got both kids 3 ring binders so after they color the letter/numbers they can put then in there so they will have an alphabet/number book by the end of the summer. Once school starts again I'll go back through them with M doing different projects and maybe adding a shape and animal to the week too. I'm going to try and post about our week every Friday or weekend, hopefully to get other people ideas like how I got ideas from other bloggers(I'll post links when I do the projects :)!)

I'm also wanting to try this to see if I can homeschool. N takes after his daddy in learning. He picks things up quickly(most of the time) but he needs to be challenged, and if he's not he loses interest and starts saying he's tired or "acts up"(pretends to be bugs or super heroes). He's starting it already at school now, us and his teachers can tell he's ready for kindergarten, cuz he want to sit and do work he doesn't want to do the little kid songs any more. So we really want to make sure he's challenged in school so he doesn't go down the path like hubby and get himself in trouble. If it starts looking like it we may homeschool him, it's just something we have out there just in case we need it. Thankfully his teacher now realizes what he needs and has already had a meeting with the kindergarten teachers about hopefully getting him in with this one teacher that is harder(challenging for him). Well see, right now he's not really liking school all the time cuz of it~well that and that he's getting a baby brother, he's been wanting to spend a lot of one on one time with mommy and daddy. We think he's trying to get all his time in now cuz with M, she was such a needing baby always wanting to be held, he didn't get a lot of one on one time with me.

Our new addition is....

Yesterday I had the ultrasound to check on the baby make sure everything looked good and measured right. It was also the ultrasound to see what the sex of the baby is.

When we first got there the tech asked us if we wanted to find out the sex hubby and I said yes. Of course I was a little more admit about the yes lol! The tech told us(I think it was more as a pre-warning) that it would still be another 25-30 mins before we would find out since the legs are the last thing she measures. I should say that that morning N didn't not want to go see pictures of the baby, but I told him I really wanted him to go with me, so he went though not very excited about it. So the tech starts gels up my tummy, and then starts looking around. N at this point goes "what's that?" The tech tells him the baby, now he gets excited! He said "that's your baby mommy?"(he's still using the "your baby" lol). M is interested, but the tech hadn't really gotten a good profile picture that you could really see a baby, so M was just copying her brother's oo's and cool's. The tech is going about measuring and labeling things for the dr and then about 10mins in I hear hubby go "That looks like a boy to me!" I was looking at the kids at that moment so I look up at the same time the tech goes "Yep that's a boy!" So I told N "looks like you get your brother", him and daddy high five it was so cute and funny! Needless to say that this little one is just like his brother and wanted to make sure we know right away he was a boy lol! Right after that the tech got a good profile and you could hear M go "look a baby" then she looked at my tummy and goes "mommy the baby's in your tummy?" like she finally understood were this baby that we are always telling her about is. The kids did really good after about 15mins they were getting a little antsy so hubby gave them some candy I had in my purse to keep them entertained. The baby for the most part behaved and the tech was able to get all the measurements without much issue. She did have a little trouble getting a good shot of left side of the baby's heart, cuz of the way he was laying, but she finally got it. The ultrasound only took about 35mins and they schedule it for an hr so that's pretty good I think.
So to conclude we will be adding Logan Anthony to our little family in September! We are so excited!

Then There Was Three

In Sept our little family will be growing to three kids! I'm still a getting over the shock of having three kids by the end of the year.
My whole life I've always wanted 4 kids, hubby didn't really want so many he always said maybe 3. After M he still wasn't sure about having at lest one more like I wanted, but we figured we'd wait a few years and talk about it again. After M turned 2 it seemed like 3 was out of the question. As we found out a few months ago God had other plans lol!

Right now I'm 16 weeks, I'm feeling pretty good, as long as I have lots of little snacks during the day. My biggest "issue" right now is my blood pressure, cuz of being pregnant I can't be on my blood pressure meds so that means I have a higher risk of my pressure dropping and fainting. I've seen my heart dr already and I just have to keep doing what I'm doing, but I also can't stand still for long periods of time(my limit is about 15mins before I feel faint). Right now that's my biggest challenge, I try and do the dishes when there is only a few, and dinners I try and keep simple things that I don't have to stand there and watch very much.

The kids seem pretty excited about the baby. I don't think M full understands yet. I got the baby a "dresser"(it's a three drawer plastic storage thing) and put some of her old toys in one of the drawers, and we talk about how everything in that is for the baby and now she'll say "That's for the baby". N is super cute about it. He always says "your baby", I think cuz his teacher is pregnant too and that's way. We've been talking about where the baby is going to sit in the car the last few days. Yesterday he told me "Mommy I want to sit in the middle so I can watch M and the baby and make sure she doesn't open the door". Then today he told me "Mommy I changed my mind. I think the baby should sit in the middle. I don't want her to open the door and fall out and get hurt." How sweet is that!?

Next friday we find out what we are having I'm so excited I can't wait! We are bring both the kids so that will be fun. N got to come when we found out about M so I wanted to make sure they could come this time too.

Been awhile!

Wow it has been awhile since I blogged! I always think about it when I'm at the store, driving to play dates, but by the time I get to the computer I just get on facebook play my games and get lost, or end up playing wow and getting lost in that lol! I've also been working on some baby blankets to sell on my etsy store one boy and one girl. I think they are really cute!

So lets see this year so far....we are 3months in and it's been a good year crazy lots of surprises, but good.

In January N turned 5, I still can't believe he's 5! He had a nice little party at home with some of his friends, it was Transformer theme again. This year I tried some games let me tell you that was hard, trying to get 3-5 year olds to listen cramped in the house(cuz it had rained that night and the ground was still wet) was ruff. This is way I'm not a teacher lol!

In February, M had her test for school, she did awesome! You may not be able to understand the girl half the time(though shes getting better and has words now) the girl is smart! Her test lasted 2.5hrs cuz she just kept answering the questions right, so they had to keep going. Needless to say she's not in N's class. N was sad about that, but he's better now. So M now goes to "school" two days a week for 30mins-it's just speech and it's with N's speech teacher which is pretty cool.

That brings us to March, which is when M started "school" on Tuesday. And yes I turned the big 3 0 on Monday. Didn't do anything just hung out at home with the kids and hubby, I got to lay around in PJ's all day, and Hubby dropped N off and picked him up from school even went and got Panara soup for dinner-which is what I wanted :)! It was a great day. I still don't feel 30, but I guess that's a good thing right!
