Small Update(added pictures)

I've been meaning to post about last weekend's birthday parties, but never got around to it. So to tied everyone over till Christmas(in just 2 days Yeah!!) here's a little mini post!

Around this time of year we don't only have Christmas but 4 birthdays also. I guess that's what I get for having friends with kids around my kids birthdays :)! Thankfully they are in sets of 2 and the 2 girls had theirs last weekend one Saturday and one Sunday.

Saturday was my very good friend T's little girl's party, at the park. The kids had a blast, M was great she let T's husband hold her and give her five, which normally she screams blooding murder anytime he comes within a few feet of her. I got the cutest picture of N and his best friend.

Here is the cute birthday girl

And her cute purse cake, the other side had a number two on it.
On Sunday was K's party at a place called Pump it Up. It's this place with all different bounce houses in it. M had a bad cough and the party was also during her nap time so I left her home with daddy who also was sick. I also wasn't sure if she was old enough to really be able to go on anything....I was wrong she would have been, but she still would have been a crab since it was nap time. Unfortunately we decided to leave M home about 30mins before I left so I had just grabbed my wallet and throw it in my purse and totally didn't get the camera...I was kicking myself later for that one. N had a ball, he was totally wore out by the end of the party from all the running and bouncing and sliding.

Yesterday we went to my friend T's so the kids to exchange Christmas presents. N had been looking forward to it for about a week now. Anytime the boys can get together we don't hear the end of it till they see each other. The kids had a blast like they always do together. I do have pictures, but the camera died while it was uploading so as soon as the batteries are charged I'll add them.

Here are all the kids opening the presents.
Now we are just waiting for Christmas. I made N a little count down chart(which if anyone knows where I can find a cute one to make or buy let me know I can't find one anywhere). Every morning he gets to tear off the number to see how many more days. He's been having so much funny with it, we made one for his birthday too.(Again picture to come)
Here's our countdowns.
Thanks to my SIL who emailed me last night an idea to make links, which I did end up doing for N's birthday one, it's so thick he had a hard time riping it off this morning. He had fun helping me make it this morning. (I have it on the side of the fridge so I can open the door with out hitting it:)
Though for long term I was looking for something a little different. My bad for not explaining better :)! When I was young we had this hanger that had 25 pockets with numbers on it and each day you moved the little mouse to the next pocket till it was at 1 or 25 however we went that yr. I'm looking for something along that lines. Durable for longivity, but moveable or flipable

My Puppies

I somehow managed to acquire two little puppies instead of kids. Yesterday N decided that he wanted to be a puppy all day down to even wanting to play caught. It was quite cute(even if I was getting a little tire of calling my son a puppy). By the end of the night I managed to get a M puppy too! Needless to say M was a puppy today, thankfully with her she comes in and out of it a lot:)!

Picking it up with his teeth
"Retrieving" his toy
Giving it to Daddy for a other throw
I wish I could have gotten this on video with sound cuz M is just so funny when she does it. Whenever anyone does something good(and even things on TV) she'll crouch down and "jump" up in the air with her hands up and say "Yeah!" It's the funniest thing. I think she's practicing to be a cheerleader. Here's a picture I've gotten of her doing it. (sorry the picture is so fuzzy, I had the camera on nighttime cuz I was trying to get a picture outside of the light from the biggest moon the night before, it was so pretty, but wasn't working)
YEAH!

Surgery

Today I had an appointment with my TMJ dr(specialty dentist). It was to finally decide on having the TMJ surgery that we had talked about almost 2.5yrs ago. For those that don't know I was in a car accident 3yrs ago, which caused some damage to my TMJ area(I'm not really sure if it's an area or bone or muscle, as far as term goes, but anyways, it's right at the behind your ear where your jaw would meet up with the ear.) Without going into to much detail I get headaches, pains in my ear, jaw, and it hurts to eat certain foods. I think in my mind I had already decided to have the surgery, but then I got pregnant with M so we had to hold off cuz I couldn't get xrays done. Then everything with M, drs appointments, MRI's, therapies, I had gotten in to see him, just never set a date for the surgery, and just kept pushing back calling till things with M slowed down. Today we set a date Jan 19th. It will be a week recovery mostly cuz he also will be removing my three wisdom teeth also. We made the choice to have them removed at the same time cuz 1)I only want to be sedated once thank you 2)the dr thinks if I did it separate(cuz they need to come out sometime) that it could re-hurt the TMJ which wouldn't be a good thing. I also have to have some jaw therapy not sure how long I don't think it would be much?! At the moment even though I know I need it I'm really nervous about it.

First Fish

N caught his first fish today! He had a few bits on the line, but none that caught then it happened N got his first fish. Daddy couldn't get it off the line right away(which I was thankful, just so I could go get the camera) so while Grandpa was getting pliers I ran in the house to grab the camera, daddy put the fish back in the water so it wouldn't die till we got there. N was SUPER SUPER excited!
Pulling it out of the water(the second time)
A better picture of the fish
Daddy holding it up for N

N did try to hold it, but the fish had little spikes and got him so he let go before I got the picture.

Another Day

My kids are so sweet to each other (most of the time). Today N fell asleep while I was making dinner. It was funny cuz he wanted to bring out his train set so I did and he was making a track with M when I started and a few mins later I went to check on them and he was fast asleep in the chair and M was trying to give him toys...see the tree in his lap and bumblebee toy by his feet. They do these little things all the time, but for some reason I thought I would capture it.

I also wanted to share my exciting find. I have this really cute Santa's cookie plate, mug, and reindeer set. See very cute!
I've had it since I was pregnant with N(ok I got the reindeer bowl last yr), I knew I wanted that for my kids since I worked at Carson Pirie Scott. Well, last yr the plate got broken. I'm not sure what happened I just know it involved N and daddy and the toaster oven. I think I was just so upset about it I pushed it out of my mind, cuz I totally forgot about till I unpacked the Christmas stuff. I could get a replacement, but I have to get it through Replacements.com and it will be a good $23 plus once you add shipping. I was out with N yesterday picking up our weekly stuff(ie cat litter, diapers) and he wanted to go by the Christmas decorations(really I think he wants to go by the Christmas candy more). As we were walking by I saw this really cute little tray and asked N if it was cute for Santa's cookies and he said yes(really he will tell me if he doesn't like something) They had some glasses to that matched too, so for $3.50 I got a new set AND it's plastic so it will not brake!!

One of those days!

Well, last night I had a blond moment, I was trying to sew a wristlet for myself and was on the floor ironing. I have a table top ironing board, but my table top was full with the sewing machine, so I was on the floor. Anywho, I was ironing in the interfacing and pressing the pieces. I went to get up and felt a poke in my hand. It was like if you get yourself with the needle when your sewing. I lift my hand up and I had a needle in it, I didn't think much of it except of course the one piece that has the pins in it I don't put with the rest of the pieces(which was in a pile a foot away from my hand). I pull the needle out and it immediately starts bleeding, I managed to hit one of my veins! So here I am alone with the kids, holding presser on my palm raised above my head "dancing" around the kitchen cuz it hurt so bad. I went into a little panic mode then when I felt like I was going to pass out(yeah that would have been good for the kids to see). I called my friend T just so I could talk to someone knowing that would help she had me take some Tylenol and drink some mountain dew(which if it was anyone else I would have said the same thing, my brain just stopped working then). I now have a nice bruise from it and I can't put any presser on my palm. See got to love it!

Then today, N's little cough from yesterday turned into runny nose and cough along with waking up last night complaining his tummy hurt. He stayed home today and I took him to the dr just to make sure doesn't have a sinus infection too(which he doesn't just a little cold which some children's cough medicine should help). Other than the cough and runny nose you wouldn't know the kid was sick he has been running around like crazy. I took the moment to put him to work. I got him a ornament kit from Micheal's so he could make all his classmates candy cane ornaments for Christmas. I made them when I was little and they are really easy. He did really good with it and did all but 2 by himself(well stringing the beads that is). He could have done them all, but he wanted me and M to help, plus we would have been there ALL DAY. We talked about how he was making them for his friends at school which is the important part to me. If you ask him he'll tell you "I made them for my friends." I'm pretty sure we are going to keep him home tomorrow too since his cough and nose is really bad I don't want him to get anyone else sick.

O'Christmas tree

I put up our Christmas tree yesterday, with the help of N. He got to put on all the ornaments by himself, which he did a really good job. I did have to remind him to use all the tree a few times, he keep trying to squeeze all the ornaments in just one section. He really enjoyed it, he wanted to put up all our ornaments, but still having a small tree and small children my crystal ornaments will not be going up for alest another yr.

It was really funny(Ok I thought it was), I was telling hubby that after Christmas this year we should keep an eye out for a good deal on a new tree since ours is starting to looking a little sad(for a $9 tree it has done really good for 4yrs). Hubby was saying we'll have to see how the sales are, and about 40mins later as N and I are putting up ornaments it starts raining and Hubby goes....I guess we are getting a new tree next yr. I open the box outside so that I don't get any lizards or yucky silver fish in the house and I had left it on the table where it got all wet! Hopefully we can get a sweet deal on a tree after Christmas otherwise it will be another $9 tree for another few years(or maybe I can just stick this one in a garbage bag...I wonder how it will hold up like that?)
