Pumpkin "Patch"

Yesterday we took the kids to the pumpkin "patch". I use the word patch cuz I'm not really sure what else to call it. It's really a bunch of pumpkins on this really really long table, w/one side that has 2 steps on it for more pumpkins then about 30 cardboard bins filled w/more pumpkins. They have these set up all over, we have been going to the same one for the last 2 yrs, the lady there is really nice. Last year she gave N a smaller pumpkin for free, this year he got a lolli pop. Anyways, this year N really enjoyed picking out the right pumpkin. He was very picking about it not just any would do, we walked around the table at lest 3 times, and after some coaching from Mommy the last walk around, he finally found the perfect one.

Is this the ONE?Picture time!
Though no one wants to look at the camera
(The perfect Pumpkin is the one at N's feet)
N trying to open his Lolli Pop and M is ready for her napM playing with a squashM saw a bug
All in all it was fun. We are going to get 2 more little pumpkins from Walmart-they are so much cheaper, but you have to go to the pumpkin patch that's part of picking out a pumpkin.
And side note yes M is starting to sit by her self, though not more that a min at a time, and if she looks up high she'll fall. But hey she's sitting I'm not about to complain.

Grandma's Hips

Today I found out that M is taking after more of my side of the family. I got her this really cute Oshkosh Jeans. I got her two in 12m and one in 18m and I got such a great deal on them $3 each normally $13 each. Anyways, now that she's in 12m I decided to put her in them......While, her "little" hips(I use the word little just cuz she's still a baby) barley fit in them. I don't think she'll get into them again I'm so upset cuz they look so cute on her. I showed mike how cute she looked, even w/them being tight, and he was like "she she get that from your side." I just had to share so pictures of it. So here goes...Look a that little butt! I know I even got a smile out of her! Now that she has her teeth she loves smiling for the camera, which reminds me I got a picture of her 2 first teeth so here it is..I know you can barley see them, but aren't they to cute. I'm in trouble, the boys are going to be all over her!

Teether and Potties

This was just going to be about M, but N did some great things today too!

Miss M at about 2:40pm today cut her first TWO(yes 2) teeth. It was the coolest thing. She has been not so smilie and happy the last 2 days. This morning was the same thing not so happy. Well, I took the kids to the mall today and N was playing in the play area(for the second time today). We had been there about 40 mins and M was just hanging out just watching N and the other kids. Then all of a sudden out of the blue, she started smilling and laughing at N and the kids. She smiles at me and there they are 2 little teethers. I know they had just "popped" cuz (well one she totally changed additues) there was also a little blood on them.

Then we have N! Today at the mall during the first time at the play area, he blow out a diaper. This is about the 3rd time he's done this. He holds it in so long that he just goes so much the diaper/pull-up can't hold it. Anywho, I had already let him pick out some hot wheels the other day so when he went potty on the potty he'll get one, Thinking I would retry in a week or so. I'm happy to say N has other plans. Tonight he blow out another diaper, but this time he was in the bathroom and was trying to put his seat on the toilet. He ended up sitting on the potty for a good 10mins. trying really hard to go. It was really funny cuz he keep talking to his "little guy" so he could go and he would grunt too. It was sort of hard not to laugh. Along with just sitting on the potty, he also wanted to wear his big boy undies. So tomorrow we will see where it goes. Hopefully, fingers crossed he'll want to go on the potty again. I can always hope.

See Ya Later Alligator

We have been here in Florida for 3 years now. This is the state of Alligators(I think they are alligators here not crocodiles), and we finally saw our first one (in the wild) about 4-5 months ago. Though it was in this fenced in lagoon area. But still, it was pretty big too about 5 feet I would guess. My father-in-law has told me how there have been alligators in the lake behind our house lots of times, and once they get so big they have them taken out, though I have yet to see one. That was till yesterday! Hubby was just about ready to go out and weed wac. When he came and got N and me(and the camera) so we could see it. There it was floating in the lake. He was only about 2-3 feet long. It was so cool I showed N-from the safety of our Lani(back porch), while hubby tried to get a picture of it. When he got up to take the picture the alligator swam underwater and he couldn't take the picture. I'm hoping he'll come back so I can get a picture of him. Though N said bye to him.

True Friends

Today my good friend and her husband went totally above and beyond. They have gone the extra mile before, but today was great.

I just made it back home a few minutes ago(about 8:50pm) after leaving the house at 12:30pm to walk the mall w/my mother-in-law. I left the house about 12:30pm and headed to Babies R Us to get M a towel for the beach. At about 1:20pm we left there to head to the mall to meet grandma. Right after leaving the parking lot my car starting shifting funny(this happened about 3 months ago and I was really really low on oil) so I pulled over and checked my oil. It looked about 2 quarts low. Great I thought I just checked it last week and it was OK. So I opened my truck thinking I had some back there and I didn't. I knew I wasn't to far from the mall, the kids were getting hungry and the closest auto store was the other direction quite a ways. So I figured we'd go to the mall then after wards I would find a parts store. So we got to the mall walked around got N candy(Grandma spoils him what can you do*shrug*). At about 5:15pm we left to go home. I drove around trying to find a part store w/no luck what so ever. Finally I decided to head home and just stop at the one by the house. At this time I'm mad cuz I can't find a store and N's tired and fighting to nap. So I call Cole, her being the nice sister she is tells me well there is a reason you did all that driving and so on. I get off the phone w/her and am on the highway, hubby calls I tell him how I still haven't gotten oil yet, but I'll get some by the house. Then I let him go cuz there's a toll. So I'm driving get to another toll, pay that. Then I start smelling burning. I'm thinking great my car's over heating or on fire, I'm going to have to jump out and grab the kids. Mind you at this time they are both FINALLY sleeping. Then the car starts not wanting to accelerate. Now I'm really worried. Then the car starts pulling to the side. O'shoot!!! is all I could think(ok really the other word, but I'm being good). I pull over to the side of the road and then it hits me that my tire just died. I'm still in denial at this point I get got then remember the hazard lights, so I push those really quite, close the door and YES there it is my drivers side front is flat. I'm so drained at this point I start crying, I'm still not totally sure why since it was just a flat, but anyways, I try calling hubby even thought I know he's at work and can't really do anything or answer. Then I call my brother, and start crying that I don't know how to work the spare or anything in my car. At this point I remember that exit I was by and it was close to my work, so I end up calling my good friend from work and ask her if I can borrow her husband for awhile. I tell them what's going on and they are happy to help. He even brings their SUV just in case we had to leave my car, there was room for the kids. So he comes and changes my tire. Which didn't look so hard, though I don't think I could have gotten off the nuts. Then we find out that the spare is flat-badly flat. Thankfully not that far off ramp is a gas station so we stop at the gas station fill up the tire, drive it to their house to make sure it was ok. By this time it's almost 7pm both kids are crying, M was hungry so was N, but he had a fly on him that wouldn't leave(I found out we are scared of those too). Once we get to their house I feed M, my friend was so nice and made us dinner(Mac & Cheese N's fave). And N got to play w/best friend for a while. At the same time her husband had to get gas so he got me 2 quarts of oil cuz I had made a comment about my day w/my car. It was just so sweet of them. I'm just so grateful! So I guess Cole was right after all. There was a reason I did all that extra driving by the mall.

Now I've got to figure out when to get new tires and how hubby AND I are getting to work tomorrow.

6 Months Old

My little girl is 6 months old(as of yesturday). I can't believe it, it seems like we just brought her home the other week. Some days she seems so grown up, then others I still see the newborn. Like when she's sleeping she looks so little, except for the talking that is. It's amazing that at this age you can already see some of her personality. She's friendly, but reserved. She'll pretty much let anyone hold her, but she doesn't smile at everyone some people have to really work at getting her to smile. She's not really a morning person. You let her have her 30mins alone in her crib in the morning and you'll get the biggest smiles. She doesn't like to be alone, but she also doesn't like a lot of people doading over her all at once. She's smart just like N sometimes I think she's a little smarter. She knows when you have food and knows how to get the food in her mouth fast. You're thinking well most kids know that. It's hard to explain, I'll try...I was eating Jell-O w/her on my lap one day. I had just taken the spoon out of my mouth and put it back in the bowl to get more, THEN she grabed it and brought it straight to her mouth. She knew to wait till I had food on it. I tell ya, she's a little smartie pants. That's my little girl my angel and princess. I say that now even though I know she's going to be a tomboy. She already goes straight after N's cars. In 6 more months she'll be a year old!! Where as the time gone.

Happy 6 Month Birthday My Little Girl!!!! Mommy and Daddy Love You!

I'll leave you all w/her 6month picture. After that will be her all her monthly pictures from newborn to 5 months, so you can see how she's grown. Every month I take her picture w/the same beanie baby so you can see how big she's gotten.

Madison's Therapy

So M had her Physical Therapy evaluation today. The lady was really nice and M was so good, she only got fussy at the end and it was more cuz she was so tired. They said the same thing I've been saying lately it seems to be mostly in her hips & waist area. She did recommend Physical Therapy 2 times a week (though she said once a week was fine) it had something to do with if she did HAVE to have it more it would be easier w/the insurance. I'm suppose to be doing anything to move those hips. Right now she does Frog legs. Think of how a frog has its legs (<>) that's how hers are. So if she's on her back I'm to try and straighten them and also stretch them up toward her head more. Right now she can only get them to go straight up in the air nothing really toward her head. Then when I have her sitting in my lap I'm to make her put her feet ON the ground. I guess that moves the muscles, not sure just what it is doing, but I'll do it anyways.wink And she also thinks her rolling is more of and accident thing then her wanting to do it since she only does it once. So for the moment I have about a month before the therapy opens up again to figure out how to pay for it. All in all I think it went good.
