Doing good

It's been over a week since M had her surgery and she's doing really well. She wake up ALOT over the weekend and got cranking very easy. Though those were the 3-5 day mark that I was told were the worse. That's when the scabs come off. She is also down to taking her pain meds just two times a day, which I'm glad about. They are some strong stuff and I don't want them messing up her stomach or anything else. She's still not allowed to have any hard foods, like chips, or gold fish, til Monday, per drs orders. He said since she was so young he wanted her to say off that and really chewing food(fruit snacks) for 2 weeks.

She also had her first OT appointment in 2 weeks. I was really worried about it cuz she was really cranky before we left and then when we got to the room she started to get all upset again. This time OT got out her favorite toy(fisher price piggy bank) and she was better, but still a little upset and not wanted to do much. We started going over everything again, as far as what my concerns are, the drs and other therapists. I made a comment about her depth vision that we were not sure if it was sensory or a vision issue. She was like "WAIT! LET'S TRY THIS" and turned off the lights so all that was on was the emergency lights and light coming in the windows. Let me tell you M calmed down like that! She did so well today, even let the therapist help her on a toy which the last 2 sessions she got all upset when she tried that.

N is doing really well in school, I have to try and work with him on colors and shapes at home, since they tell me he's having a hard time with them. I'm not sure he seems to be do good for me(at lest with shapes) Colors, we have always had an issue with. On many occasions he has called green blue. I'm still going to work with him anything to try and help. Besides that he's doing great, talking up a storm, and has been really good about repeating himself when we don't understand. He rarely gets upset if he has to do that. We are still working on volume, he is so quite sometimes.
