The Purse

A long time ago(when I still worked at Carson's) I bought this purse and w/it came this little coin purse that was a little mini of the purse itself. The purse has been gone for many years now, but the coin purse has stayed it's a great size. For a long time I used it to hold all the business cards we got. Then N got a hold of it and use to put his cell phone in so he could hang it on a door or cabinet. Then when M came along I used it to hold her comb and hair bows. It was the PERFECT size. For Christmas she got this M that you hang on the wall and it has 2 ribbons hanging down that you clip hair bows to. So I put all her clips on that(and that is MUCH easier to find when I'm trying to put her clips away!!) I didn't want to throw the little purse away so I just put it in w/all the "doll" stuff they have, figuring it was a good size for dolls. M has other ideas.......

She puts in on.
She crawls around w/it on.
And tries to play while it's still on.She does this AT LEST 2 times a day. It's quite entertaining!

Frango's

Frango's o'wonderful Frango's How I've missed you!
Frango's in my family was a VERY special treat. My mom only bought them for my dad on his birthday/father's day and Christmas. The only other time was if we visited my Great Uncle Harry, cuz he lives downtown by the main Marshall Field's, that's were you could get the freshest Frango's. It was always the same kind the one's in the green box(dark chocolate) and 1lb. Tony and I where not aloud to have any unless my dad said it was OK(since it was his present) and trust me they knew if you had one. I swear they would count them. And yes I know I'm not a chocolate person, I will maybe eat 2 M&M's every 2 months and I HATE fudge or Dark Chocolate, but Frango's I will eat....OK only one a day, but still! Back to the story, so you can only get these from Marshall Field's which is all up north......Til this Christmas, when I walked into a Macy's and saw them(they are now sister companies someone bought someone else out I wasn't really paying attention)! At the time we were on a tight budget cuz of the holidays so I skipped them, well Thursday I took the kids to the mall so they could play in the play area and had totally forgot about them. At this mall I always park at the Macy's(not really sure why every other mall it's JCPenny), and as we were walking through they had the Valentine display up, and I just had to get myself a small box. Which by the way, I so know way my mom only got them twice a year the little box was $7!! So once we got home and they were nice and cold(I have no clue why this started, but they are much better from the fridge), I got one and let N have one! WELL.......I think I created a monster......He LOVES them. I've caught him 3 times just today going to try and get one. O'course I'm a mean mommy and only let him have one a day.
Here is one time.
He didn't want to give the box back!

3 Years!

Well yesterday my little boy turned 3! Three
years ago we were in the hospital holding our little newborn and now I'm chasing this little boy all over the house. It's so amazing how he's grown. Yesterday N, M and I went up to the mall so Ncould make a Build-A-Bear. Grandma and Papa meet us there so they could give N his present and spend sometime with him. He got his V.Smile system, more on that in a bit. So we had lunch then it was off the build a bear. Since we had the coupon we let N pick which ever one he wanted even the most expensive would be half off, plus we were saving up for this trip. What did he pick the most expensive a cheetah, go figure. The lines there were silly they had one girl filling the animals and 4 lady's on the registers. Which if you ask me they should have had 2 filling, the check out wasn't that bad. Anyways, N got pretty board so by the time we got to fill his cheetah he really didn't want to do the whole heart thing. For all of you who haven't gone there they do this little "dance and saying" with a heart that then goes into the animal before it's stuffed.

You're suppose to....
Rub the heart and give it a wish
put it to your knee
put it to your arm
put it to your head
then jump up and down and turn around

Each step does something, but I wasn't really listening to that I was trying to get N to do the movement. We got half way and I just told the girl forget it he wasn't interested and I wasn't about to worry about it. After that we went to pick out and outfit for the cheetah, but of course the wonderful bear car was still sitting on the floor like it was 6 months ago and N wanted nothing but the car. The thing is $30 I'm not about to pay that for some stuffed car that I know as soon as we get home he will not play with. So Mommy just picked out a tank and swim shorts. I was going to get M's bear a new outfit, but N wasn't really listening to well after I told him no car, that we just paid and left. I didn't even do the Cheetah's birth form! After that Mommy got her Gloria Jeans!!! I miss them so much! Then N got to play in the play area for a while. Then it was back home. Hubby got off early so he got to spend time with N which was nice.

Here is N and his Cheetah
N Giving Cheetah a Kiss
N finally got to play his V.Smile last night. He really seems to like it. I just have to find the games that are easiest till he get the hang of it. He played a little tonight too, and was doing pretty good. The only thing is I have to sit right by him and "play" with him(encouraging him helping him in which way to go) so I started to just ask him questions and "make" him do more work. So by the end he was happy as long as I was there watching him when he did something right (ie go the correct direction or jump).

Nathan's Party

It was a little crazy getting ready this morning, but it was a great day! N had fun, we only had a few friends over, but they played with the kitchen then we went outside and played with the powerwheels for a while which was interesting. Madison even wanted to ride one! He got a XXL bowling set, some wood puzzles, 2 games for his Vsmile, a play mixer for his kitchen, and some extra GeoTrax track. In all it was a great day, but now I'm pooped so here are a few pictures to enjoy!

Crazy Day

Today has been Crazy! Really the whole week. We had appointments today and tomorrow is N's party. I also had to work last night so I haven't had a lot of time to clean the house or get all the little things I wanted to done. I feel like all I've been doing it running around the last few days.
Anyways, today wasn't to much better. I had a few hours this morning to clean and straighten then I had to get the diaper bag ready so M and I could go to her appointments. Grandpa watched N for me so I didn't have to worry about him too. Which was really nice, plus, I'm sure he had more fun with Grandpa then he would have with us. So at 12:15 we left to head to the hospital(15mins later then I wanted to). We made pretty good time, I think we got there about 1:15. So first stop X-Rays. That was fun! M doesn't like to be laid down on anything other than beds or carpet. And by doesn't like I mean HATES!!! It's usually a scream fests when I do have to like at the mall, so needless to say she wasn't happy when I had to lay her on a metal bed w/out her pants or diaper. Then I had to hold her legs straight, that position wasn't so hard. Now mind you she has high muscle tone so she's VERY strong. After the legs being straight she had to have her legs in the frog leg position. Which at normal times isn't to had to do, but add in the fact that she's not happy which makes her Hypertonia worse it wasn't good. It took all my might to hold her still. The poor thing was holding on to me for dear life once I picked her up. We were in and out in about 40 mins, which in most cases would have been a great thing, but her Neurologist appointment wasn't til 3:45 which meant we still had 2 hours to kill. I hadn't eaten so we ended up getting back in the car and driving around til I found somewhere to eat. You would think with the hospital and a college right there there would be more food places around. All I found was 2 sit downs and a subway that's it!! Subway only killed about 45mins, but the driving around was about 20 so I still had some time, but we headed back anyways, I figured maybe we would get in early. The wait at the neurologist wasn't to bad. There was another kid there who just turned 2 and M was fascinated by him. Then again everyone fascinates her. I'm not really sure what his disability was I'm guessing either SBS or CP, but he was a cutie, he was even trying to flirt with M. The appointment it's self went good. The doctor was very happy to see her crawling and pulling herself up. She still wants M to have the spinal MRI, and she also wants her to have Occupational Therapy. What that is I'm not 100% sure, I'm trying to find out. I do know it has to do w/helping her grab at things better. I told the doctor about how she pinches things and grabs at things, it's sort of like a little robot, and she wants her to have help with that. The doctor also noticed that her left side seems to be getting "tighter"then her right, which is one of the reason's she still wants the MRI done. We are to continue with the physical therapy, and she's fine with it just being once a month, so that's good. The appointment wasn't very long we were out of there by 4:10. On the way home I did have to stop at Publix to get some fruit that I forgot. I'm making this fruit salsa that sounds really good, plus I figured it was a little healthier. Right now that is in the fridge, it's suppose to chill for 6-24hrs. It has sweet peppers in it, can I tell you those things are nasty(in a good way), I chopped them up at lest 1.5hrs ago washed my hands 3 times since then(if not more) and I still have the "juice" on my hands! My nose is very itchy(cuz of all the dusting today) and my eyes are dry and every time I touch either one they burn for AT LEST 5 mins it's driving me nutty! Well, the kids are finally out I better go finish cleaning I'm going to swiffer the floors and maybe put up the streamers tonight!

I almost forgot the other good news today....the school district called when I was in the X-Ray with M so I called them back and N was approved for their program. He will be going to the preschool that is right down the street. That will be nice, cuz if I have I wanted I could walk there, though it is a bit of a hike and I have to try and cross our busy street, but still it's really close! The only thing is they don't have a speech program at that school, so he'll have to either go to a different school once a week or have someone come to the house. We have a meeting with them at the end of the month so we'll figure it out then. But he has been talking more. I made him his picture book and it really seems to be helping. He really likes it to! He even has been looking at all his other books, which is good since we have so many. Not that I'm complaining! I LOVE having all the books, he just never wanted anything to do with them, unless of course it was I Love You This Much He loves that book. I'm off, I'll write tomorrow about N's party!

Getting So Big!

Today M is 9 months old! I can't believe how big she's getting! She LOVES talking! On Christmas she said her first word.....NO! It's quite funny, you ask her a question like, you want to go in the living room and you could get a NO. She's not doing it every time just some of the time you ask her a question. She says Dadda and Mamma but not really to us just says it to talk. She's going to be such a social butterfly. The girl loves to talk on the phone every time I'm on the phone she's looking at it like well aren't you going to let me talk? And she's always watching new people. And usually likes it when they talk to her.

Well here is her 9 Month Pictures!
There are two, I'm not sure which one I'm going to use as her "Official" 9 month picture yet they are both cute.

Welcome 2008!

Happy New Year Everyone!
A day late. It's been a little crazy around here. I've been sick since Friday with this "cold" that everyone at my work has gotten. It's a crazy thing, first your sinus' get all congested for 2-3 days, then you lose your voice for 3 days. That's what's happened to everyone at work. So for me it's been

a box of tissues
3 naps over the last 5 days(it would have been more if hubby was off more)
3 nights of NyQuil
Tons of water
6 cups of Vanilla Coffee
2 days out of work
2 nose bleeds(in one day mind you)
5 days of being in bed by 10pm

I'm still super tired, and coughing. Today I've been losing my voice. What a great way to ring in the new year! And today N has been coughing so I hope he's not getting it to!

Other than that our New Year has been going pretty good. I finally finished my first Sample Dress it's still a little big on M, but that's OK!
M showing off the dress

Alice in Wonderland pose!
I put a zipper on it, but I still don't feel that great about doing zippers so I'm going to try and make one that has buttons on the straps so you can 1)adjust it 2)no zipper!

I also made the flower on a pin so you can move it. Which I think is a cute add on. I'm also going to make one into a hair clip!
Flower on the strap
Now I just have to come out with a price! I have a few ideas I'm just not sure if they are to high or to low of a price.
Well, I'm off for another nap.
